13th Early Career Planetary Scientists’ Meeting

The UKPF is pleased to announce that the 13th Early Career Planetary Scientists’ Meeting will be held at The University of Leicester on 22nd January 2016.

The Early Careers meeting is an annual meeting of early career planetary science researchers in the UK. This includes masters students, PhD students and PostDocs. The purpose of the meeting is to network and showcase the research going on in universities up and down the country. This meeting gives early career researchers a chance to present talks or posters to a scientific audience in an open and friendly conference environment to help prepare for international conferences and other occasions.

This meeting is open to scientists from all backgrounds in planetary science and PhD students and PDRAs are particularly welcome. There will be no registration charge, irrespective of whether you give a presentation or not and all are warmly invited.

The abstract and registration deadline has now passed.

Submit abstracts to the following email address stating talk or poster preference, with the email title "Early Careers 2016 abstract": [email protected]

We are pleased to announce the keynote speakers and topics for this conference are:

Professor John Bridges - Crustal Differentiation on Mars: Our Changing View of Mars from Viking to Curiosity
Dr. Susanne Schwenzer - Impact-generated hydrothermal systems: mineral alteration after the dust has settled
